HTML programs can be executed on simple editor like Notepad or professional IDE like Microsoft visual studio code (VS Code). A simple text editor is all you need to learn HTML is notepad. Web pages can be created and modified by using professional HTML editors. However, for learning HTML a simple text editor like Notepad (PC). Let us learn HTML by using both notepad and VS Code one by one.
HTML by using notepad
Step 1: Open Notepad (PC)
For Windows 8 or later:
Open the Start Screen (the window symbol at the bottom left on your screen). Type Notepad.
For Windows 7 or earlier:
Open Start > Programs > Accessories > Notepad
Step 2: Write your HTML code in notepad screen as shown below:
Step 3: Save your notepad file by clicking File>Save as>anyname.html
Step 4: Running your program: Find your saved file>Right click on it>You will get your browser showing your program
HTML by using VS Code
Open chrome browser and type vs code, you will get a screen as shown below.
Click on visual studio code and you will get a new widow from where you can download VS code and install it on your computer.
Click on download and after the completion of download, double click on downloaded file and follow the steps to install VS code on the computer.
